Welcome
Set in the lovely, breath taking sights of British Columbia, Canada is Merry Hills Riding Academy. Merry Hills opened in 1986 for people who wanted to ride, yet learn. It closed down from lack of income in 2002, but now is re-opened and looking for students who want to increase their riding skills. With it's classy horses, amazing academic program, and sport teams, why wouldn't it be the perfect place to learn? Being one of the top riding academies, Merry Hills comes with it's secrets. The woman who started Merry Hills up was frazzled by their team's lack of talent. It bothered her they couldn't even place in the school shows. It came to a surprise when the academy re-opened- the original creator of Merry Hills, Mrs. Appleado had left to go and teach Bluebrick- Merry Hills' biggest competition. People were confused and nervous, but expected the most from their new headmistress; Ms. Juding. Where does the showing hate begin? Merry Hills has been competing against two different academies for years, and unfortunately the cup has fallen into their hands one too many times. Now it's up to Merry Hills and it's new determined riders to beat Bluebrick and Greenwood, before the year is out. Do you dare to challenge them?

Housing
[ ]Bay House (1 sub-board)
The Bay House is a girls only dormitory. It's named after the color of the horse, and quite large. The Bay House is one of the oldest houses on campus, with it's church-like build, and stone finishings. It looks over the pastures and paddocks, and is the closest to the stables.
00
[ ]Hock House (2 sub-boards)
The Hock House is a boys only dormitory. It's church-like on the outside, and is quite large. There's always something going on in the Hock House, and it's usually the house getting in trouble. It overlooks the paddocks.

[ ]Page House (1 sub-board)
This house is a girls only one. It's smaller than the other three, but is still a fair size. It's known for being the best in equestrian activities. Almost all members on the riding team are from the Page House. The Page House is furthest from the stables.

[ ]Christopher House
The Christopher House is a boys house. It's one of the most sports crazy houses. It's a fair sized house, with church-like features, wood decks, and finishings. The Christopher House overlooks the whole campus.
00
Yard
[ ]Gazebos
Four gazebos are set up in awkward positions throughout the yard. Most look over the campus, and some look directly at the stables. People rarely come here, but they're a nice place to chill out in, or study.

[ ]Picnic Field
The name says it all. The picnic field stretches for about two miles before coming to a halt in front of the highway. There's at least twenty picnic tables throughout the field. On busy days there's almost no tables left, so it's best to get there early and claim it for the day.
00
[ ]Shady Hill
Shady Hill looks over the whole town. It is one of the most common hang-outs at Merry Hills. Of course, there's picnic tables, lawn chairs, gazebos, and hammocks all spread over the hill. There's also plenty of shade.

[ ]Lily Pad Pond
Lily Pad Pond is a deserted pond north of campus. It's filled with wildlife and fish. Of course, it's not the ideal place to come, but it's still fairly nice. It has lots of shade and forest to explore, as well.
00
Campus Buildings
[ ]School
Yes, school. Although most students have online-schooling, the one on campus provides the same classes for those who don't do school from the internet. The school is not like regular schools though. It's only from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. So, it's not that long.
00
[ ]Library
The library on campus is also used for study hall. It's got computers, books, tables, all that "library junk." It's open all day. You are able to study before school, between classes, and after school until 9:00 PM.
00
[ ]Office
Here you can come and meet with the principal/headmistress of the riding academy, Ms. Juding. She's a nice lady, with lots of experience in horses. She doesn't come easy with punishments, and never tolerates any abuse to the school horses.
00
[ ]Detention Hall
Got in trouble? This is where detentions are served. The detention hall is a depressed place, with papers and pencils all over the place. Sometimes you'll even find the odd rude note towards the school.
00
Sport Centers
[ ]Tennis Court
The tennis court is inside a fair-sized dome. It's got a net in the middle, and racks on the walls. Tennis balls are found in the cabnit underneath the wall racks. The court is made out of smooth, non-slip pavement, abd makes a good practice and tournament area.
00
[ ]Volleyball Arena
The volleyball arena is large and sheltered- yes, it's indoor. The floor in the arena is soft sand, the bathrooms and lockers are tile floor. All volleyballs are kept on the top of the lockers, and the net is in the middle of the arena. Normally pratices and tournaments are here, but they're also sometimes hosted at the beach.
00
[ ]Baseball Diamond
For those who like to play a good game of baseball, here's your chance. The baseball diamond is the standard shape, it's outdoor, and has small stone footing. All baseballs, helmets, and bats are kept in the storage shed next to the diamond.

[ ]Soccer Field
The soccer field is large with a net at each end. The grass is kept short for better footing. Trees shadow the field making it a cooler play area.
00
[ ]Basketball Court
The basketball court is fairly large with two nets at each end, and the professional lines throughout the court. Basketballs are kept in a small shelf-storage shed next to the court.
00
[ ]Pool
The pool is the school's main activity. Many people enjoy swimming over sports. The pool is indoor, but there is a under-water door that you can swim through and it takes you outside. The pool building first takes you to two change room doors where people may get changed and shower.

Stable
[ ]Stalls
All horses are kept in these stalls. There's a row on the East Side for mares and geldings, a row on the West Side for mares and their foals, a row on the south side for stallions, and a row on the North side for foals that have been weaned off of their mothers, but aren't old enough to go with the stallions and mares.

[ ]Wash Stalls
Outside the stall area is another section of stalls with hoses and shampoos. There's different kinds of shampoos and conditioners-and extra halters and leads for those who don't want to get their's all wet.
00
[ ]Cross Ties
Because there's not enough room for cross ties in the stall section, there's a large extra room where there's rows of cross ties, and halters.
00
[ ]Tack Room
The tack room is a large wood-panel room. Each tack is labeled with a name, so nothing is too confusing. There's saddle soap, fly spray, bridle wash, leads, and halters that are available for anyone's use.
00
[ ]Feed Room & Kitchen
The kitchen is fairly big, with wood-paneling, and shiny floors. There's a table in the center that's always scattered with tack pieces, magazines, and horse treats. There's two freezers, and one refrigerator that are set to low to keep the feed cool.
00
Paddocks & Pastures
[ ]Mare & Filly Pasture
Time on grass: 7:00 AM-12:00 PM. This pasture is large and lush, and gives the horses a chance to stretch their legs. Normal mares and fillies stay on grass for six hours, while pregnant mares stay on for three hours.

[ ]Gelding & Colt Pasture
Time on grass: 7:00 AM-12:00 PM. This pasture is large and lush, and gives the horses a chance to stretch their legs.Sometimes the colts are brought in a bit earlier if they're getting too wild.

[ ]Stallion Pasture
Although there's rarely stallions at Merry Hills; they've designed a pasture for stallions just in case. They're in the pasture from 7:00 AM-12:00 PM. Like the others, this pasture is lush and big as well, so there's no lack of space if the stallions need to stretch their legs.

[ ]Indoor Arena
The indoor arena is a tad bigger than the outdoor one. It's usually only used in the winter, or when it's raining. There's a fair-sized storage room where jumps, harnesses, and all other equipment is kept.

[ ]Merry Hills Mall
Merry Hills Mall is a large building, with hundreds of stores. They have great brand names, and tack shops for everyone to enjoy. There's also a food court that has several different stop-and-go food bars.
00
[ ]Cinema & Bowling Alley
The cinema and bowling alley are two of the town's main attractions. Blended together in one building, this is the best place to come if you're looking to have some fun.

Tired of junk from the mall? Come to Din Street. There's plenty of food bars; and it's healthy! It's fairly cheap, and most of the time good.
00
[ ]Merry Hills Park
Open to the public, Merry Hills Park is the perfect place to study, or walk a pet. Only one unfortunate rule, no horses allowed!
00
[ ]Danny's Vet & Farrier Services
All school ponies come here for shoeing and vet, so why not other horses, too? There's always a list to get in, but it's worth the wait. Danny has some of the best training you could get.
00
[ ]Columbia Downs
Columbia Downs; the town's own racetrack. Obviously it's one of the most busiest places on the weekends. Public is allowed to watch and bid on horses that are entered in claimer races.
00
Show Time
[ ]Show Grounds
The show grounds are always buzzing with excitement. There's lots of parking to the left, and space for trailers to the right. Never should you get there late, or you'll find yourself in a parking dilemma!
00
[ ]Show Ring
The show ring is always full of nervous riders, and crying little kids. Of course, there's always several different classes for the riding team to compete in. There's also some open classes for those who aren't on the team. Other academies always bring in some tough competition to Merry Hills Riding Academy!
00
[ ]Stands
For Merry Hills fans. The stands are big and spacious, and usually very loud with support, cheers, and boos.
